My Family
Hello! My name is Lacie. What else would you like to know? My favorite part of life is being a Mom. I have two daughters, Shianna (far left) and Evangelina (sitting on my lap). I also have the blessing of two adult "bonus" sons from my first marriage -- Tristen and Tyler. These kids are some of my favorite people in the world, and I thank God for them every day!
Why Living "One Day" Today?
I came up with my platform name in 2018. That year that our family decided to start a new adventure: living full time in an RV. We had talked about wanting to travel "one day" -- so my (now ex) husband and I decided to do it! We purchased a 42ft 5th Wheel RV and moved out of our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom rental. It was hard - but I learned a lot through that experience.
I was tired of always saying, "Hey, we should do this one day" or "don't you think it would be fun if one day we could . . ." The name, "Living One Day Today" was born out of necessity. It was an empowerment for me to take action! Sometimes those actions look like tiny steps - but every adventure starts with one step. So I created my logo, purchased my website domain, and purchased a video-editing program. I created a YouTube channel and started making videos for fun!
In 2009 I started running social media for the Steilacoom Tribe as a passion project. On my Dad's side of our family we are citizens of the Steilacoom Tribe. I grew-up volunteering with our People from a very young age. In 1989 we opened our Tribal Museum, which is our Home. Since our People were never given a reservation, Tribal land, or federal recognition, we had to create that space on our own. In 2019 I had the opportunity to work at Graham Auto Repair. It is a family-owned and operated business, and I have known the family since 1996. Now that I was creating videos for myself, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to do something I love! I was absolutely right. I have never loved a career path more than this one. I have met so many awesome people in my job! I've had the opportunity to take classes, try new things, and do LOTS of research. All these things pushed my skills to the next level. In addition to managing our social media pages, I film and edit our photos & videos, manage our website & SEO, create our paper ads and run regular analytics. As a leader on our team, it is my pleasure to work alongside some very awesome people, serving the community through each of our individual talents & skills.
Why Am I Doing This?
So why am I sharing this my story with you?
Because I believe there are even more opportunities for me to serve the beautiful community I have the opportunity to be in! I want to take the skills that I have developed and use them to help others. The past few years have rocked our community like nothing we could have imagined. But during that time I watched so many people come together when it was needed the most! I believe that I have tools and insights that can help others succeed and flourish. If sharing my story can help someone build their brand or take their business to the next level, I want to do it! Life is a journey and there are so many things for us to learn all around us. It's my hope that by living my "one day" today, I will help you live yours too!
